Neverwinter

Ashen and I started messing around with Neverwinter (not to be confused with Neverwinter Nights, although it's still D&D). Is anyone else looking at it or playing it? It's currently in open beta:

I do love a good D&D game :3

I've only played my four alts to single-digit level, so far. It's good to play.

Whoever designed the Hair-styles should be taken out and... given a strong coffee enema, with the grounds mixed in it. A child could draw better hair! Everquest had better hair!

Still, it looks like a nifty place for some Catgirls. Who wants to start the guild?

Agree about the hair >.< There are one or two styles that aren't too terrible, but the rest look like shredded wheat. I was pleased to see half-orcs, since that's what I always used to play during my late teens through early-20s D&D craze.

The bulk of us, are on Dragon Server. We have "The Legion of Catgirls" formed up on there. Also, all 3 games, Star Trek Online, Champions Online and Neverwinter share the same chat, so just join "Legion of Catgirls" channel, don't forget the spaces.

Naturally, Ashen and I have to be contrary-- we started up on Mindflayer >.<

Well, you could always make an 'extension' guild there... Maybe 'The Feline Battalion'!

At any rate, one of my friends is of the opinion eventually they'll collapse the servers down to one. Not sure what they base that on... if nothing else, I'm sure eventually they'll have server transfers (if they don't already).

I like this one a bit. I'm kind of burned out on D&D swords & sorcery stuff, so it's not as much fun as I'd like. Also the PC handling is not great - too much trying to fit to a console game format. I don't like the movement much, although you can get used to it in time.

It does have a Foundry, a quest/scenario builder similar to the Toolkit in NWN. That is somewhat interesting, but has many limitations that (frankly) that old NWN Toolkit didn't have.

I just saw on a guild listing page that some of you play Neverwinter. I've been there for about a month.

'I'd rather not,' the Cat remarked.
'Don't be impertinent,' said the King,
'and don't look at me like that!'
He got behind Alice as he spoke.
'A cat may look at a king,' said Alice.

Yes, the Catgirls are on Neverwinter and Star Trek, often at the same time. I've been dragged off to WoW, or I'd hop on and kitty-pile you. *grin*

If you can, try looking on Steam, to see who's around. Otherwise, we'll have to hunt up Pep and Myrr, since they're all over, like crazy kittens. Or, if you find you need administrative assistance, I can IM Sleepy, who I'm sure will be happy to see you and chat.

Be Well!!!!
